The minerality and the acidity of this wine match really well with fish and chips or fried appetizers. Shellfish or whitefish are great. You can also pair it with spaghetti with capers and anchovies or amberjack cooked in foil with black olives.

The philosophy of Valcerasa is to support natural events to always achieve the best results. The sapling trained vineyards, organic land management and the hard work put in every day testify to their respect for tradition.
Their vineyards are found on the north side of Mount Etna in Sicily, between 700 and 900 meters above sea level for 20 hectares. The 100% Carricante grapes (a local Sicilian variety) are soft pressed whole before fermentation. Long aging in steel tanks before a further few months in the bottle for this Carricante Terre Siciliane 2018.
The Story
Alice Bonacorsi had a dream, and with grit and strength she has decided to pursue it where she was rooted. Managing the vineyards with the help of her husband, they work on with no pressure to have her daughter follow in the same footsteps, as she admits, it takes a certain caliber and desire to want to do this work.
Even her husband admitted, 'it's Alice that does everything...I literally feel like the housewife in this household'. She's one incredible and strong woman, and we're thrilled to have this Carricante Terre Siciliane wine in the club. Their 2012 Etna Bianco has been one of our favorite wines to date, although all their labels are quite beautiful!
