Winemaker Notes
Musella is located in the Valpolicella hills east of Verona, with vineyards at altitude on soils of white clay mixed with tufo, red clay rich in iron, and red clay with tufo.
The estate is farmed biodynamically with no chemical treatments, and all harvesting is done by hand. The wine is made from 80% Corvina and Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, and 10% Barbera.
Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, and the wine is then refermented on the Amarone pomace in the traditional “ripasso” method. Aging follows in French oak barrels of 350–1500 liters for 12 months before release.
Story
Musella winery is located near Verona, in San Martino Buon Albergo and it is owned by Pasqua family.
Emilio, Maddalena and Enrico cultivate their vines following the precepts of biodynamic agriculture, paying great attention to respect for the environment with the desire to produce wines faithful to the territory they come from.
For these reasons this harmonious and fresh label is particularly suitable for those who are not looking for a traditional style, but want to taste a rich concentration of aromas and flavors of this area.
