Winemaker Notes

Grapes come from a small vineyard of 0.27 hectares at 200 meters a.s.l. facing west.

Great freshness and drinkability, as it carries out a short maceration of 2-3 days. The fermentation ends in exhausted barriques and steel tanks, refining on fine lees for 9 months.

The Story

The winery conducts old recovered and partly renewed vineyards organically divided into nine parcels for a total of 6.61 hectares. The vines have different exposure, soils, altitudes - between 200 and 400 meters above sea level - and an average age of about 40 years.

Given their age, it is very important to manage the vineyard in order to guarantee the right balance between production and survival of the plants, between the rows we find wild grass and the vines are treated exclusively with copper and sulfur, avoiding any intervention with synthetic products. No fertilizations are carried out and green manure is practiced. The work in the countryside follows the rhythm of the seasons and is done manually.

Fermentations are spontaneous, without the addition of adjuvants and additives. All the parcels are vinified separately, to understand in depth the characteristics of each individual terroir and with the specific purpose of creating a wide variability, altimetric, pedological and microclimatic.
