Francesa from Fonterenza, an incredible talented woman winemaker in Tuscany, explains the terroir of her vineyards in Montalcino. Their Brunello di Montacino has always been farmed organically and biodynamically with minimal intervention. She also gives equal importance to the Sangiovese grapes which go in her Rosso di Montalcino as she does the Brunello di Montalcino.
All the various soils are explained from galestro to clay for each parcel they work with. 5 hectares makes her a small winery with vineyards which can be managed easily.
