Basilicata

Basilicata Winemakers, Stories & Vineyards

An often forgotten region of Italy, especially in terms of winemaking, is mainly saved by one of only 4 DOCs, Aglianico del Vulture, whose volcanic soil wines are now well established on the world's wine stage, although nearly 98% of wine here is bottled under IGT or Vino da Tavola. Flat land is nearly impossible to come by as well in this hilly and mountainous region, making viticulture challenging and production extremely low, although there is hope for a bright future. Matera, a village perched on an outcropping of rock, is also a must see if visiting.

We have the largest, and fastest growing winemaker video collection in the world...

...from across Italy and sometimes beyond!

We have visited over 600 wineries, almost-exclusively artisans, to bring you the most authentic Italian experience - directly to the vineyards, cellar, and true story of the wine.

The winemaker is the protagonist, and our mission is to help them share their story.
