Winemaker Notes

Lambrusco "Ponente 270" is a blend of different varieties of Lambrusco - Grasparossa, Sorbara, Salamino, Maestri, Montericco - combined with a small balance of Malbo Gentile. The vines have an average age of 15 years placed at 200 meters asl on the typical pebbly soils of silty-clay origin. In the vineyard, any form of synthetic chemistry is prohibited, adopting organic farming and favoring that natural relationship between land and vineyard. Even in the cellar they operate in a respectful way, limiting human intervention and invasive processes (filtration, addition of sulphites and stabilisations). Fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts only, followed by a 4-5 day maceration on the skins. Wines are spontaneously bottled without disgorgement, leaving the yeasts in suspension.


The Story

This wine from Podere Cipolla is a sparkling red that pays homage to ancient ancestral techniques and expresses the peasant spirit of Reggio Emilia hills. Revitalizing, lively and vibrant, it stands out in the category of Lambruscos from the Via Emilia, still produced as in the past according to ancient peasant techniques. Thanks to Denny Bini, one of the most famous artisanal winemakers of the area, every year we can enjoy authentic refermented juices that concentrate all the rural and rustic moods of these rolling hills. This wine amuses with its cheerful nature, it speaks the language of its land with a unique frankness and simplicity. Convivial, delicious to drink and with a strong gastronomic vocation,
it is the perfect refermented wine for the everyday table.
