Whether it comes from Langhe, Gattinara, Carema, Valtellina, from vines planted on sandy, volcanic, mountain soils, a fact seems irrefutable: Nebbiolo is the undisputed king of Italian viticulture. It is not an easy vine to grow: it needs special soils, climates and care to express itself at its highest forms but if treated in the right way, it can give immortal wines with incomparable taste sensations.
