Winemaker Notes
An exclusive wine just for Rimessa Roscioli and Roscioli Wine Club members, made to recover two native grapes, that are very difficult to find these days. The Giacchè, but above all, Parigina hybrids are related to the American vines - a lot of fruit and body, and with little personality, but this land is magical and the end result could be beyond any expectations. If it has ennobled the Nero d'Avola and the Moscato (which he calls Muscatedda), who knows what's possible.
The vines, trained using spurred cordon, grow on calcareous-clayey soils, at an altitude between 30 and 69 meters above sea level. The alcoholic fermentation, which converted the sugars into alcohol, lasts for 15 days with the help of indigenous yeasts, followed by a long maceration on the skins. Before being released on the market, the wine refines for 12 months in steel tanks plus a further 6 months in the bottle. Marabino produces its wines following the biodynamic style, i.e. without the use of herbicides and synthetic chemical fertilizers.
Fruit, strawberry, cherries and a Nordic freshness on the finish. A bipartisan wine, able to satisfy the most simple palate and also bribe the most sophisticated palates.
