The Story

Le Macchiole winery is today a reference point for the quality and elegance of wines in the Bolgheri area. The path taken in recent years, in the direction of exalting the great potential of the Bolgheri terroir, is the key factor in the great results obtained by this, albeit a small company on the coast of Livorno, responding to a project that began in 1983 and has always characterized from environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

Bolgheri Rosso is the result of a close and profound observation of the complex balance that governs the territory characterized by clayey and calcareous soils. The need to transfer the most multifaceted territorial nuances into the expressive heritage of the wine is met by a capillary management of the vineyards, thanks to which expressive personality and identifiability is built on every geomorphological difference between the property plots.
