The Story
The vineyards represent the true heritage of the winery. They are located in the best crus of Verduno, La Morra and Roddi d’Alba and they are grown predominantly in Nebbiolo, but there is a significant presence of all the typical vines of the area, such as Dolcetto, Barbera and the particular Pelaverga.
The soil, consisting of deep blue-gray marl, whitish on the surface, alternating with sandstones (typical conformation of the Sant'Agata marls) gives wide aromaticity range to the wines (flowers and spices).
In the vineyard is observed a pruning system which aims at limiting grape yields and maintenance fertilization is carried out with organic substances only. Diseases of the vine are treated according to the principle of natural integrated pest which allows the reduction or even elimination of pesticides.
